Angle fillets are triangular-section insulation strips applied at the junction between a flat roof deck and a vertical upstand. They provide a gradual transition that prevents the waterproofing membrane from folding at a sharp 90° angle, a common point of stress concentration, cracking and eventual membrane failure.
Where used: Fitted at all upstand, kerb and abutment junctions beneath the waterproofing layer.
